Do I need a new number or a second phone?
No. You link the number you already use with a short pairing code, the same way you link a computer. Your phone stays the main device and keeps working as usual.
Does my phone have to stay on?
No. Like any linked device, StatusPe keeps posting while your phone is busy or offline for a while. Open your chat app on your phone with internet at least once every couple of weeks so the link stays active.
Who will see my statuses?
The same people who would normally see your status: contacts who have your number saved. You can also pick lists, like only your customers or only family.
Is it safe for my number?
StatusPe uses the linked-device feature and posts at a normal pace with daily limits. It is an independent product, so follow your chat app’s rules: post to your own customers and never spam.
Can you read my messages?
No. StatusPe doesn’t download or read your chats and never sends messages to your contacts. It only posts statuses.
What happens after the free trial?
Choose a plan to keep posting. If you don’t, your statuses pause. Your number, contacts and schedules are kept for 10 days in case you come back, then deleted.
Can I get a refund?
You can try every feature free for 7 days, so payments are non-refundable. If you are charged twice or your plan doesn’t start after paying, we refund that payment in full. Details are in the refund policy.
Is there a mobile app?
StatusPe works in the browser on any phone or computer today. The Android app is coming soon on Google Play.
